Activities: Recreation activities including ball play, obstacle courses, art/crafts, music and all the latest board games, toys, outdoor and recess activities. Social lessons
are embedded in every activity.
Social areas addressed: Social communication, peer interaction, friendship skills, small group participation, sportsmanship, conflict resolution, coordination,
cooperative play and much more.
Goals: Each child’s individual social needs will be considered and the program will be structured for each child’s growth. The main objective is for the children to be
successful in a social setting while making friends, gaining self-confidence and ultimately creating an intrinsic motivation to play with friends.
Facilitator to Child Ration: 1 facilitator to 3 children. Groups run with 5 children minimum and maximum of 6.
*Neuro typical peers (same age range) participate for free, limited spaces available.

Leigh has been working with I Can Play for a year now, providing group facilitation. She has been an amazing addition to I Can Play! She has an extensive background in
child development. In addition to being a mom and fantastic play facilitator, she also tutors through a local agency and heads up their grant writing. Most of all, she is fun,
knowledgeable, enthusiastic and the kids love her.
Logistics
Begins: June 24, 2008 Ends: August 21, 2008
Days: Tuesday & Thursday Time: 9:00am - 12:00pm
Location: Poinsettia Park (Palomar Airport Rd. Exit) it has a great playground and lots of room to run around
Cost: $360 for package of 6 sessions (18 hours). You select the dates; they do not have to run consecutively. Sessions must be paid prior to participation.
No refunds or credits *only exceptions: rained out days and staff illness
